  • Talking to the wellness ally:
    • Has anyone share their health goals with you? Initial responses matter.
    • It can be confronting for the ally
    • Let the person on the health path drive the conversation
    • Grace & compassion - in meals, social plans, etc.
    • Make plans that don't have food as the focus, experiences and activities instead or in addition 
    • Choose restaurants with healthful options
    • For dessert...offer once.
    • Compliments & how to notice results
    • Avoid being the subtle saboteur
    • Be indifferent to the details

  • When we feel others around us need to focus on their health
    • How to be silently supportive
    • Let your example be the invitation
    • Be balanced, your extreme doesn't compensate for their decisions

  • When you're on the wellness journey
    • Enlist the support of a coach
    • Find wellness and activity friends
    • Choose carefully who you share this with and tell them what to do to support you
