Think about the computing software required to run your car. Your vehicle likely runs on about 100 million lines of code — 100 times more than the Space Shuttle, 4 times more than a commercial aircraft, and the equivalent of nearly 18,000 printed pages. In the near future, the tech installed in automated vehicles will contain between 300 and 500 million lines of code — and there’s surely more to come.
