Shoulder surgery patient | Andrew Rockenfield - S.O.S. podcast #20

Did you know that more than two million Americans experience some type of rotator cuff injury every year? According to the National Institute of Health, 22 percent of the population has some kind of shoulder tear and by the time we reach old age (80s), that number jumps to nearly 37 percent! 

Wow. That's why I was so happy to meet Andrew Rockenfield, a YouTuber and IT professional who has been vlogging on his shoulder recovery since last May in an effort to help others heal from this tough operation. As you guys know, my surgery is on the 23rd of this month, so what better time to help you guys as well as myself? 

Not only that, Andrew is just an interesting person. He is a husband, father of two, head coach of the Alpine Development Team at Snowbasin Resort, head coach of a girls basketball team, and IT Professional who specializes in helping companies become more efficient through the use of technology.

He has also served in the United States Air Force, worked as a police officer, been a personal trainer, and was the IT Director of a large healthcare facility.

He holds degrees in Computer Engineering, Business, and Mathematics.  His certifications in IT include, CCNP, MSCA and his certifications in coaching include PSIA Level 3, Children’s Specialist 2, and USSS Level 300.

His passions include helping people improve themselves through education in health, nutrition, and fitness.  He enjoys working out, playing basketball, alpine skiing, electronics, movies, and spending time with his family.

Tapping into his love of storytelling through the visual medium, he runs a YouTube channel to help others recover from and gain insight on what to expect after shoulder surgery.

He lives in Utah with his wife, two kids, Vizsla, and a yellow-bellied slider.
