Military transition coach | Alfredo Torres - S.O.S. podcast #24

Happy holidays! So feeling a bit better after shoulder surgery and decided to slide in one more guest on the podcast and that is none other than my dear friend Alfredo Torres! 

Mr. Alfredo Torres is the Virginia Transition Assistance Program Regional Coordinator for the Central and Western region and the Candidate Coordinator for the Hire Vets Now Fellowship Program, the first DoD approved state Skillbridge program.  

He has experience in professional, military, and educational career coaching, mentoring, and counseling.  A 13-year Navy Veteran who has had a very eclectic and varied post-military career holding positions as a Radio Personality, EMT, Academic Advisor, Safety Inspector, Blogger, Military Admissions Advisor, Shipboard Instructor, Adjunct Professor, Podcast Host, and Stage Manager for a nationally known concert venue in Richmond, VA.   

He is the "luminary" of the VTAP team with one of the most compelling life journeys, as you will find. A passionate, thorough communicator who blends humor, reality, and staunch veterans advocacy into a unique brand of transition assistance.

Alfredo holds several nationally recognized certifications including Global Career Development Facilitator, Certified Career Service Provider, Virginia Career Coach, Certified Federal Job Search Trainer, Certified Professional Résumé Writer, and holds a Master Advisor Certificate from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.  He also holds a master’s degree in Lifespan and Digital Communication from Old Dominion University.
