In this episode, I chat with my dear friend Zohra Fahim on her efforts to change policy, making our world safer for animals!

In her work as a tireless advocate for animals, Zohra Fahim persuaded Palomar Medical Center to participate in Meatless Mondays. This effort added more vegan options to patient menus which later inspired the food servicing teams to transition their menus towards 60 percent plant-based.

She also passed a Statewide Meatless Monday Resolution garnering the support of several Assemblymembers, and a California Senator, and passed several Meatless Monday Proclamations in her local community.

Since 2014, she has lobbied for animal laws at the state, local, and federal levels.

She is now the President and Founder of the Los Angeles Alliance for Animals where she leads a campaign to eliminate pony rides and petting zoos in Los Angeles.

She has gained attention from multiple large media outlets in Los Angeles (and internationally) on the plight of the animals at Griffith Park and Pony Rides and Petting Zoo.

During our conversation, she will share her best practices on how you can push for meaningful change at any level within an organization.
