💁🏻 Concept: Primogeniture Law
In biblical times, primogeniture referred to the right of the firstborn son to inherit leadership authority and a double portion of the family estate (cf. Deut. 21:17). While this practice was rooted in human tradition, it ultimately pointed forward to Christ—the true and ultimate Firstborn. In Him, God’s inheritance is not given by bloodline or human merit, but by grace. Jesus, as the Firstborn over all creation, over the dead, and over God’s redeemed family, secures for us an eternal inheritance that far surpasses earthly possessions.

🙏🏼 Prayer:
Sovereign Lord, thank You for showing us through Scripture that Jesus is the Firstborn over all creation, Firstborn from among the dead, and the Firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Thank You for Jesus, the true Firstborn, who made a way for us to be included in Your family. You have taken us from dust, even from a sinful lifestyle, and united us in Christ. It is a wonderful privilege to become co-rulers and co-heirs with Christ. I am what I am because of Your grace alone! May I live each day honoring Christ, my Savior and Inheritor of all things. To Your Name be the glory! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
