Welcome to episode 1 of the Run Adjacent.
This interview was recorded on Sunday the 7th May the day after the Rotorua Marathon.
In this interview I sat down with my good running friend Steve Trass.
Steve had run the marathon with a time of 3.25.30 which was good enough to win the NZ Masters marathon title in the 60-65 age group.
Steve is an absolute warrior, he has run 12 Marathons, 3 Ultra Marathons, more than 90 parkruns, and is also a completive road cyclist.
I credit his mentorship with helping me complete my first ultra marathon back in 2018.
We chatted about his mixed schedule leading up to Rotorua, how his running has improved over since 2016, the state of running in Whangarei, and did some quick fire questions which weren’t all that quick fire.
