Welcome to Roses & Weeds! A City of Tyler podcast that is here to keep you up to date with current events and news related to our beautiful city. In our inaugural episode, we have special guests Stephanie Franklin one of Tyler’s Managing Directors, and the Assistant Chief of the Criminal Investigation Unit with the Tyler Police Department, Mr. Billy Yates. We cover the recently updated Tyler Noise Ordinance, the Rose Complex Master Plan, an inter local agreement with UT Tyler to provide them access to the City Arborist, information about T.I.R.Z. (Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones), the City of Tyler One Half Cent Sales Tax Program, and of course which Tyler Police Chief or Assistant Chief is “best dressed”.
