Melissa called a little after 8 am this morning. We normally talk later in the morning, but she was meeting with a friend and asked whether I wanted to do dinner with her Saturday (my daughter and I, she and her husband, and a smattering of really cool people). Of course, I said yes.
We chatted briefly about the difference between loving ourselves and loving the world. Loving ourselves is taking love into our body and feeling that warm glow realizing that although we aren’t perfect, we are loved and worthy of love.
Loving the world is taking in the love and disseminating it outwards to all living beings on the planet (I also channel this into the ground/earth). The result is a totally different feeling.
Try both, you’ll feel the difference.
Personally, I channel outwards several times a week (I “should” do it daily – but “shoulds” aren’t healthy and growth oriented). The feeling of love for the everyone, the feeling of love for this earth that supports us is amazing. It raises my vibration and gives me a better handle on the day.
There is no “right” thing to do because there is no such thing as “right” and “wrong.” These are constructs created to help society function. We need these concepts until the world operates at a high enough vibration level that we can leave them behind.
I don’t kill another person because the law says it is illegal, or my religion says it is wrong. I don’t kill because it is energetic suicide. I harm myself by killing another. I believe we are all part of one big whole, so killing someone is killing a part of me. I love everyone, how could I kill someone I love?
That said, are there scenarios where I may end up taking a life (the life of my family is threatened as an example)? Yes. I try to never get into those situations, and it still pains me to even think about them.
The more we love ourselves and put love into the world, the less we will experience these negative situations. Raise our energy and we change our experience of the world. I’ve talked about this in the past. Everybody lives in a different world and has a different experience of the world.
Let me know what practices you do that help you out. I’d love to know.
As always, with Love,
Robert
