Don't know whether it's true or not, but I like the sentiment, so I'm going to say it anyway.

“Where the spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art.”

I tend to believe this happens in work all the time. We just go through the motions. We just do it. When employees show up, they just start working.

I want them to sit there, and I want them to think for five minutes before they start their work.

Even for me, it resonates. You have to connect your head to your heart.

Then your work is transformed into art, no matter how mundane it is.

I don't care if it's sweeping floors. I don't care if it's sucking up the sewer stuff.

It still can be transformed into beautiful art.
