#52: Join us for Liz (she/her) and Bryce’s (he/him) conversation that expands on Tuesday’s episode for Mental Health Awareness Month! In this episode they touch on their personal mental health journeys in hopes of destigmatizing the conversation for others who have had similar experiences. Liz and Bryce share their perspectives on therapists and the importance of staying humble in recovery and cherishing safe friendships and communities.
Whether with therapists or friends, sometimes the focus in relationships is more on what you need rather than what you want, and it’s important to remain open and receptive so change can occur. Although it's hard to keep the faith that whatever is on the other side of the struggle is worth it, we hope Liz and Bryce can encourage you today to know it is always worth it.
What we cover in this episode:
● Liz and Bryce’s experiences with therapists, including what has helped them to things they could do without
● Having a reference point for what productive therapy looks like
● Staying open to change and being willing to try things
● Safe friendships and community
● Keeping humble in the journey
● Choosing who to share the big things with
● Holding space for friends to vent
