Hope is powerful, but it can be motivating or devastating at the same time.

When you tie your emotions to hope and a short timeline, you tend to be devastated when things don't work out.

When your hope is tied to the future with a somewhat undefined timeline, it keeps you on track as you continue to believe your effort will pull you through in the end.

Same feeling, very different outcomes.

Be careful when you hope. Make sure your timeline is either realistic or on your control. Otherwise, hope for an undefined time in the future and put the work in to ensure it happens in due time!
