This is just another reminder not to overthink it.
Do you want to be stronger? Lift heavy things. Do you want to be more functionally strong? Lift awkward things.
Dig a big hole and refill it. Chop wood. Move big rocks. Pick up your kids and play with them. Do push-ups with them on your back.
You don't need a gym membership to get your workout unless your goal is to be a body builder.
If you work a manual labor job, you don't need a workout unless you want to work in a different plane of movement.
If you're overweight, it's not your level of activity. It's what you put in your mouth.
It really is that simple.
