On this day in history, three groundbreaking events changed the world of music forever. We celebrate the birth of the "poet laureate of the blues", the birth of the best selling female rapper of all time, and the release of an innovative piece of technology, which likely influenced the medium you're using right now to listen to this episode.

Our musical feature is from "Body & Blood", and we’ll listen to their song "Totes”. This song is off their E.P. “Natural Death“, released in June, 2024. We shred it up with Mariel - their guitarist - who shares the experience of forming a band during a pandemic, the importance of merch, and advice for musicians who experience a band breakup.
