Cyril of Alexandria: Of Much Was Given

Cyril of Alexandria lived in Egypt and fought against heresies in the 5th century. He was also embroiled in multiple controversies and conflicts in a contentious era at the end of the Roman Empire. Special thanks to Josh Doorenbos for reading this episode. Josh is a husband and father of five sons, with a sixth on the way, who works as a pastor of youth and music in a small church in southeastern Iowa. The part of this sermon that spoke to him--very convictingly!--was the call for us teachers to use the full weight of our gifts to proclaim the weightier matters of the faith! I pray this will be of use to people of all stations and callings in the church to use all of their gifts to win others "by faith to the acknowledgement of His glory"!
