Doing justice and living justly was and is supposed to be an integral part of life under God’s rule. Yet, it is often a neglected expectation or conversation in the church. It has become an atrophied part of our spiritual maturity.
Justin Giboney writes, “Young Christians are going to seek out a concept of social justice. If they can’t get it from the church then they’ll get it from secular sources. If that’s problematic for you (and it should), then don’t dismiss social justice, show them a biblical way to pursue it.”
Using Jeremiah 7, we will have a conversation. We will look at the importance of justice to God; the danger of not doing justice; and the power availed to us live justly while also doing justice.
