We reflect tonight on the violent death of one of the two most patriotic Congressmen in the House (or the Senate for that matter) in 1983. Tonight, August 12, 2025, it’s been about 42 years since Georgia Congressman (and John Birch Society Chairman) Larry Patton McDonald was murdered aboard Korean Airlines 007 on his 747 flight to attend an anti-communist gathering in Seoul, Korea. Somewhere, and we have never been allowed to know exactly where, over the North Pacific area of Sakhalin Island, McDonald’s KAL 007 disappeared with all aboard. Only John Birch Chairman McDonald’s best friend in Congress, Ron Paul, had an equally patriotic voting record.
