What is Rejection and how does it affect us? Will the Theatre world help us to handle rejection better?

Elinor Blankenship is a professional Clown, Drama teacher, and top speaker in the area of northern Utah. She has had lots of experience on the production side of youth shows and has done several shows as an actor.

The discussion of rejection is important because it helps us to grow and get better at everything we do in the world. Being able to handle rejection is going to be key to helping us get through the challenges we face.

What does rejection mean in the theatre world? It is a constant with auditioning and trying new shows, new characters, and new adventures into the production side of the world as well. Even as a production team you need to know how to handle rejection, because you give it out to a lot of people, even friends sometimes. How would you handle it?

Elinor and I explore our experiences with it in our world and hopefully what we explain that we have dealt with will help you in your world of rejection to be able to see it as growth and learning more than pain and doubt in yourself.

Thank you for listening.

Shakespeare said all of life is a play and all men and women merely players. I love the theatre and I love to see people from many backgrounds and walks of life to create amazing shows. Hopefully this podcast will help you with seeing life through the theatre to help you to Remember Your Role.
