On today's podcast, Coach Debb and First Lady Ashley spoke with Dr. Margaret Conley on the importance of black women and how it's different for them to handle mental health.
Black women considered to be strong and the backbone of their men, barely having time for themselves; they are always making sure that others are ok. This came to be overwhelming for them, leading them to become depressed, Bipolar, etc. They do not understand that self-care and self-love are important to oneself and should be used each day. Join these beautiful ladies in understanding how to own up to oneself, finding time, and understanding the importance of being transparent.
Remember, Mental health issues are sometimes untreated in the black community, and this can cause harm to others around them. Get professional help if you believe that you may be suffering from a health illness. It's never too late to get help.
