Loneliness, especially in the older age ranges, is right up there with a sedentary lifestyle, smoking, and obesity, in terms of being a killer.

Now, more than ever, we need to be socially connected despite the physical distancing, and we have to be in touch with our family and friends to let them know that they are not alone.

Today, I’m tackling a subject that I noticed is becoming more prevalent among my clients – losing the connection with the outside world, especially with the ones close to us. I cannot stress enough the need we all have for social involvement, and its importance for our health.

Listen to Episode 34 of Rejuvenaging, to learn how our social brain is affected by loneliness and the ways to stay connected with others, in the comfort of our homes.

In this episode, you will learn:

  • The importance of using our social brain. (03:27)

  • The ways you can stay connected with your loved ones. (07:09)
  • The concept of emotional deconditioning. (08:35)
  • How using social involvement to complain about what is going on in the world can do more harm than good. (10:31)
