The more I dive into life on the farm - especially interacting with horses - the more I find myself becoming more aware of our sentient nature.

Open to perception and feel
things tangible 
and those which are not
A beast so far from human form
Yet so close to heart
An expression of loving kindness
Simply being in their presence
What would it be like
Have you considered
The magnitude of all that is
And all that could be
If we would just love
Unconditionally
We demand respect
Often misunderstanding altogether
Going about our ways
Spewing a wake of destruction
in our path
As if mother earth does not care
She does
So much peace and tranquility
is available
ripe for harvest
ready to give birth to new life
We have ignored that truth
Caught up in a multitude of things
As if we're wrapped in a web
Of our own inability to be
Sentient
