Illuminated

A few days ago, Cody, my Bashkir curly gelding friend, and I shared another powerful moment. It was dark, the stars were shining and Cody's blaze glowed in the dark. This poem came to me as I stood with him and reflected on our past, present and future. Our relationship illuminated and meaningful - friendship.
