Episode 372: Weird Wanda

Each year the Regular Joes gather to exchange gifts. And, like everything else in 2020, that did not quite happen as planned. Thus, nearly a month after the holiday, the Joes get together (safely distanced by several miles) and open presents they bought or made for each other. Yes, that is kinda odd. . .but it fits this week’s theme. After several long months of eager anticipation Disney+ just launched the first, of many, TV series based on characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. WandaVision, which places the Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) and Vision (just Vision) in a reality anchored in the conventions of 1950’s and 1960’s sitcoms. If that sounds odd, it is. Another Marvel series is called “What If,” WandaVision might have been called “What The. . .?” It’s very, very strange but is it good strange or bad strange the Regular Joes weigh in, and as usual, opinions vary.
