Marguerite Picard is an Accredited Specialist Family Lawyer, Collaborative Practitioner, Mediator, Arbitrator and Collaborative Trainer
She sees her job as a lawyer differently from the way most of the profession sees its job. Having been working in law (& family law) for more than three decades now, her aim these days is to be a facilitator and peacemaker.
A co-founder of collaborative alliance MELCA, she has joined with psychologists and financial planners to help separating couples reach agreements, since she believes this is the best way to approach divorce and separation.
Marguerite also runs Simple Separation, a triage service to guide you skilfully down the path of making the right moves throughout your separation and divorce.
Breaking Up Without Breaking Down is a great book to guide couples through separation & divorce (or even the should I stay or go question) that Marguerite co-authored with the other MELCA co-founders.
