In episode I welcome Dr Emma Fulu to discuss marriage, divorce, relationships and feminism.

We discuss:

  • The impact of gender on our experience of both marriage & divorce
  • How feminism can change the way we experience marriage, relationships & divorce & whether it can, in fact save us.
  • Whether as mothers we can "have it all"
  • And why "staying because of the children" may not be the best option

Dr Emma Fulu is a researcher, feminist activist and one of the world’s leading experts on violence against women, appearing widely across the media including on Al Jazeera, CNN, the BBC, the 7:30 Report and Q+A.

She is the founder and Executive Director of the Equality Institute, a global feminist agency working to advance gender equality and end violence against women and girls. Emma is Co-Chair of the Gender and Rights Advisory Panel of the World Health Organization, a member of the Global Women’s Institute Leadership Council, a TedEx Speaker and mother.

She has a PhD from the University of Melbourne, is the author of Domestic Violence in Asia, and publishes widely on gender, violence, masculinities and feminist leadership.
