The Beatitudes: Can I Live to This Standard? (Matthew 5:1-12) - Session 6

This session begins one of the most important and beautiful sections of the Bible, the sermon the mount. The first section is called the beatitudes because it has the great blessings of Christ to His followers. Are we expected to be able to live the commands of the sermon on the mount today or are the teachings for a future time period? What are the various ways to look at the sermon on the mount? Can we live the ethic presented in Matthew 5 to 7?  

• Is the sermon on the mount for today? 
• Are we able to follow Jesus’ commandments here? 
• What is the main purpose of the sermon on the mount? 
• What is the difference between the letter of the law and God’s level of righteousness?
