Aftermath of Church Discipline: Forgiving Seventy Times Seven (Matthew 18:19-35) - Session 37

In this session we discuss the aftermath and consequences of church discipline. We also discuss the teaching of Jesus about what happens when two or three gather and pray in agreement. Will they automatically get what they pray for?  Peter asks a question about how much we should forgive people, and Jesus says we should forgive seventy times seven. Jesus parable also gives us a clue as to slavery vs debtors prison and indentured servanthood. We also discuss “easy believism” and its implications.  

• Where is the center of authority in the church? 
• If someone is put out of a church, can they still be saved person?
• When people realize how much God has forgiven them, how do they act towards others?
