Hello Everyone & Welcome Back to the RealPositiveGirl Podcast!

Thank you so much for joining me again!

Happy Thursday!

This week's theme for the podcast is: How to Create A Meaningful Morning Routine

I know a morning routine may not be for everyone, but it has been proven to be extremely helpful with those that suffer from anxiety, depression, BPD & several other mental health struggles. In general, having a routine is helpful for mental stability & setting yourself up for success & a positive mindset.

Here are some ideas on how to create a meaningful morning routine that helps me best.

Here are some notes from today's episode:

  • Examples of these are journaling, reading a daily devotional (The Confident Woman by Joyce Meyer is a great one), write down a list of things you are grateful for, ect.
  • Spending any amount of time reflecting on your thoughts is beneficial to you.
  • One of my favorite mindfulness activities is to sit down and fill in my planner at the beginning of my day.
  • My planner has a section for journaling/note-taking, as well as a spot to list gratitudes, daily mood, current goals, ect.  and I love it. I truly feel mindful and take some time to think deeply about what is going on for the day, how my goals are coming along and what I can look forward to and plan for.
  • I usually spend about 15 minutes on it, which I find to be enough.
  • Another activity I do (if I remember - still a habit in progress) is to read a page out of my devotional. It’s so helpful to get another perspective & insight from someone else and have something other than my own thoughts to reflect on.
  • But, if there is anything you are going to do for a mindfulness activity, I highly recommend making gratitude lists. Listing out a few things you are truly grateful, no matter how small or big, every single day will help your perspective on life & shift your mindset in you’re in a funk.
  • I know some people consider working out and running to be mindfulness activities and if that is your jam and it helps you to reflect and be mindful, do it!
  • Do whatever works best for you!

Please share this podcast with anyone that may need this encouragement!
