Personal responsibility is one of my core values. It has been for some time and I'm pretty sure it will be for life. I think that because for the first two decades, this value was not my jam. I took little to no responsibility for life and played the victim card often.
I feel as though this value empowers and propels me to take action towards the things that matter to my heart which helps me feel aligned, authentic and congruent. Recently, personal responsibility was put to test when a company failed to recycle soft plastics. For the last 3.5 years my family have been diligent in putting soft plastics in the one of four bins we have, so when the company informed the public that they had not been recycling and now the plastics will go to landfill, my heart sank. Not to mention, I went into blame mode and, "ah, well there's nothing I can do, right?"
Turns out, there was something I could do. Listen to today's episode where I share how my core value was put to test and propelled me to be empowered and take action.
