Before every ZEROFKS dance party, the dream I have the night before is that the sound system fails. Each event it’s never bombed out, but at the last event, it did.
Mid dancing our assess off, the power went out — no lights, no music, 250 sweaty legends in a room. Ahhh, the dream (nightmare) came true.
Within a matter of a minute Nicole — @theartisanssolutions was up on stage. A woman I’d never met until last night, standing in front of everyone creating a magical moment where the whole room started singing acapella to whatever song she started singing. Her dear friend @jessicaroberts_official nudged her to get up and buy us time until we got the system working again. What a friend!
The deep fear I had turned into one of the best ZEROFKS memories where the definition of community came to life! Still blown away from this moment. Nicole and Jess, you’re my hero’s. Check it out here.
