Training for races has a certain rhythm to it.  Some days are easy, some are tough, and sometimes you don’t want to workout, but you know the race is coming so you do it anyway.  What happens when the race is far out on the horizon or you don’t have a race in mind at all.  How do you best train without an imminent race goal?
