In this episode I ask Tina how she found the courage to start maximizing her potential. What was the turning point for her and what did it take? Tina also shares how she helps other people to Maximize their potential and what advice she would give her 7th grade self.

Tina is a master story teller and loves sharing. She was a school teacher for 14 years before leaving to become a full time coach. After 4 years she was sat at her computer one day in tears because she felt like she wasn't successful. Despite looking like a rock star on social media, YouTube and an online TV show she felt like she had tried everything but it wasn't working.

She had invested in a multitude of systems and coaches, spending thousands of dollars and yet she was hearing crickets. This was compounded when a team she had invested in "fired" her! They had gained what they wanted from Tina and left her high and dry. She was about to give in, she was at her lowest point and was ready to go back to teaching.

A coach reached out to her and asked how she was doing. She thought about telling him that everything was well but instead she spilled the truth and in the process discovered the block that was holding her back. She was afraid of being visible. She felt she had to say what people wanted her to say. In other words she didn't feel like she could be herself.

Tina was able to track this back to 7th grade when she was the new girl in class and other girls rejected her. Tina realized that this had carried into her adult life and was stopping her being true to herself. When Tina realized this she gained new awareness and it changed her life.

We all have limitations that have been imposed on us by other people so we need to release those constraints and learn how we can release the untapped potential that resides within us.

When you gain this new awareness you can start to think about what is possible. What would it be like if I could show up as a leader? What would it be like to be my authentic self?

Yes, it is scary but growth comes when we move outside of our comfort zone. Tina's turning point came when she was asked to MC a ladies conference and despite her fear she rose to the challenge and was a huge success. From this event she gained 10 high paying clients that she would never have received if she had continued to live under the limitations imposed by how others made her feel.

Share your story because other people will be feeling the same. You never know what is going on in other people's minds and by sharing your story it helps others realize that they are not alone.

Tina's business took off with this new awareness. She created a coaching program and earned $10,000 in 10 days and $100,000 in the next 5 months. It requires taking uncomfortable actions, facing breakdowns and breakthroughs but it is worth it. When you gain momentum other opportunities show up, success attracts more success!

I asked Tina: What advice would you give your 7th grade self?

Tina's answer was: Don't be afraid to be yourself. Don't worry about what other people think. Find your path, find your purpose and stay on track.

This same advice applies equally to adults who are stuck in a rut, disengaged in their position and who want more from their life. The only way to grow your business is to connect with others. Make yourself visible and put yourself out there. Many think that they are not good enough but that simply is not the truth, you are good enough.
