The Seemingly Insignificant Planting of the Word (4:26-29)

• Jesus demonstrates how the kingdom of God grows in slow, incremental stages.
• Jesus displays how the kingdom of God is empowered by the Word of God as it is sown into our hearts.

The Incomprehensible Growth of the Word (4:30-34)

• Jesus presents a contrast of small beginnings of planted seeds to the harvest of incredible growth
• Jesus’ parable points to a future day where people from every tribe, tongue, and nation will be redeemed to take shelter in the branches provided by Jesus, the Savior of sinners.
