Text:  Mark 16:1-8

An Amazing Devotion (Mark 16:1-4)

• These women displayed a courageous love for Christ as they went to the tomb.
• These women were the primary witnesses in Scripture to the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.

An Astounding Message (Mark 16:5-7)

• The angel proclaimed the glorious news of Christ’s triumph over death.
• The angel compelled the women to proclaim the good news of the resurrection to the disciples.

An Astonishing Response (Mark 16:8)

• The women responded to the resurrection trembling with amazement and fear.
• The women’s response would later be accompanied by Jesus’ presence; He would dispel their fears and assure their hearts (Matt. 28:8-10; John 20:11-18)
