Special guest, Leon Harris, civil rights activist, labor organizer and former professional baseball player for the Negro League Kansas City Monarchs talks about growing up as a New York Yankees fan in the 1930's and 40's, being recruited by the St Louis Cardinals to be one of the first African American pitchers in the major leagues after Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier and how he eventually wound up playing for the Kansas City Monarchs, known as the Black Yankees, in the old Negro League.
