Henry and Greenbridgeinvesting.com co-founder, Andrew Gonci, welcome guest, 107 year old Joe Newman. Joe recalls when he was 5 years old and the Spanish Flu pandemic struck his home town of South Bend, IN and the resulting quarantine and how it relates to this time of COVID-19. He also talks of the Russian Tsar exiling his parents to Siberia, their trip to America in 1905, his mother selling newspapers on the streets of Chicago to make 10-15 cents a day, his Dad landing a job at the Studebaker automobile plant in South Bend, his opportunity to attend Notre Dame University, the era of Knute Rockne, and his graduation and getting a job enrolling people in a new government program, Social Security. Joe also reflects on his run for congress at age 101 and advises us on issues of the present day.
