The stories we tell ourselves that limit our potential and create a disconnect to others are the shadow side of Storytelling. It's important to rewrite the toxic stories that others projected onto us and that we have convinced ourselves to believe, because when you do– you find strengths you never knew you had and you can deeply connect to people through compassion and understanding. Rainbow Raaja used her own story to show the different types of Negative Narratives and how they affected her.
1. Other people's judgements or insults
2. Trauma based negative narratives
3. Medical based negative narratives
4. Weaknesses & faults / shame
5. Downplaying someone's bad behavior/treatment of you
6. Negative self talk
