July 13th 2020 - Queer Voices LGBT Film "Proud" at Museum of Fine Arts

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is currently presenting a virtual film series while its in person screenings have been on hiatus due to the COVID19 pandemic.

One of the highlights of the films screening in July is "Proud," which was made for French television. It chronicles four decades of queer life in France seen through the lens of three generations of the same family. The drama spans from 1981, when homosexuality was illegal in France, to today where the French LGBTQ community has achieved marriage equality. It is available for streaming July 8 - 22. We will speak with Marian Luntz, the Museum's curator of film and video.
