Executive Professional Association of Houston -- Houston LGBTQ Political Caucus

We speak with Jack Berger, president of the Executive Professional Association of Houston (EPAH). The Executive and Professional Association of Houston (EPAH) was formed in April 1978 in Houston, Texas. It was established to provide a non-political forum for discusssion of business and community affairs, to encourage and foster social and business relationships among the membership, and to support such educational and/or charitable causes as may be approved by the membership. Monthly dinner meetings are held with business related topics, social events are sponsored frequently throughout the year, scholarship funds have been established and EPAH joins with other organizations in the city for fund raising events.

Then, we speak with Mario Castillo of the Houston LGBT Political Caucus. The Caucus is a dynamic, membership-driven political organization with its leadership answering to the members. Seeking to influence policies and politicians in the greater Houston area, the Caucus works with candidates and politicians to develop positive LGBTQ+ policies and legislation. An all-volunteer organization, members work to screen candidates, decide on endorsements, and staff election sites encouraging the support of endorsed candidates.
