How to get into IT jobs in New Zealand: Journey of Shishir Malla of becoming a Senior Quality Engineer in New Zealand

In this episode, Shishir Malla shares his inspiring journey of breaking into New Zealand’s IT industry and rising to a leadership role. With over 10 years of experience in software testing, Shishir currently works at Westpac New Zealand as a Senior Quality Engineer. Before moving to New Zealand in 2019, he worked as an Engineering Manager at Logicabeans Pvt. Ltd., a sister company of F1Soft in Nepal.

Shishir talks about how he started with an entry-level testing role after arriving in the country, and how he moved back into a management position within a year. Shishir offers practical advice on getting into IT roles in New Zealand, drawing from his own experiences navigating the job market as a skilled migrant.
