The Traveller is reaching the summit of the triple stairs of the Greater Mind. He sees the sovereign Kings of Thought whose thoughts are partners in the vast control of the commanding thoughts of the creator Self. With their abstract purity of godless sight they brought to mind what mind could never reach. This was the play of the bright gods of Thought, attracting into time the timeless Light. They have planned to snare the feet of Truth and keep her captive for the thinker’s joy. Sri Aurobindo shows us how each of us relates to Truth and how we each use Truth for our own purposes, but Truth is greater than her forms. She remains herself and infinite.
