Nehemiah’s brothers came from Jerusalem to see Nehemiah in Babylon. They told him how unprotected Jerusalem was because the wall that surrounded and protected the city was destroyed. Nehemiah 1:4 says “When I heard this, I sat down and wept. In fact, for days I mourned, fasted, and prayed to the God of heaven”. Vision starts in those who want to care for and help people, but it develops through prayer.
