On this very first episode of POWERHOUSE - we brush of those nerves and a few tech difficulties to launch POWERHOUSE!
I am joined by a very good friend, Ashlee Harper, who has been encouraging me to get this podcast up & going for the past 2 years!
We cover the WHY behind starting this podcast, the meaning behind POWERHOUSE.. we chat about overcoming fears, facing difficulties & struggles with mental health.
This week is International Women's Day and in this episode, we also chat about the shift in dialogue we've seen this year, and what that looks like for women moving forward. We start a conversation on gender equity for women and what motherhood vs. career looks and feels like.
Lastly, we discuss triggers, how events or memories from the past, come back around when we are faced with someone or something that brings back tough past experiences, and how we deal with those situations - what we've learned about managing ourselves during this, and what comes next.
In this episode we discuss the topics of mental health, harrassment, and difficulties women can face in the workplace, if any of the topics in this podcast are feeling or sounding difficult for you, please listen only of your own accord, and seek professional assistance or advice if anything we discuss is of particular difficulty for you.
