· Don’t underestimate the ministry of presence.
· Remember it is okay to be silent.
· Be patient. Hurting people sometimes lash out.
Theology is to be utilized in trouble, not formulated in it.
If you are faced with prolonged pain, be faithful anyway.
· Be realistic about your circumstances. They may not change.
· Trust God even if He is silent.
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
Deuteronomy 31:8
· Don’t settle for bitterness.
Faithful steps in pain

2. Continue to practice the spiritual disciplines.
3. Remember God’s promise of reward.
See, we count as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and have seen the outcome from the Lord. The Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
