James 1:2-42 Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.Context:➢ the brother of Jesus
➢ the main leader in the Jerusalem church➢ his name means "one who follows"the people of GodAdversity always has a purpose.Principles for Us1. The goal of our lives is to bring glory to God.2. God often uses difficult circumstances to help us reflect His glory.

1. Our joy should be determined by how much opportunity we have to show Jesus, not how easy our life on earth is.
2. God will reward those who faithfully serve Him in hard- ship.
