WHO is YOUR ONE?
The calling of Christians is to go and tell good news...
ACTS 1:8 Start where you are...
Start with who you know
Start while you have an opportunity
When people encountered Jesus, the first people they contacted were the people in their network.
I am not asking you to start relationships to share Jesus, I am asking you to share Jesus in the relationships you already have.
Your one is not someone you is someone you already know.
I know you have been praying for your one....
I believe God will answer the prayers of his people.
There are lots of Methods of Evangelism
1. Mass Media
2. Track Distribution
3. Street/Door to Door
4. Servanthood Evangelism
(The guy in front of you said you were paying for His)
5. Missions Evangelism
The most effective form and most common form of evangelism is relationship Evangelism
examples of relationship evangelism:
1. Andrew brought his brother Peter to Jesus.
2. Philip brought his friend Nathanael (John 1:40-51).
3. The Samaritan woman told her whole town about her encounter with Jesus (John 4:28-42).
4. The exorcised man from the Gerasenes went home and told his friends how much Jesus had done for him (Mark 5:19-20).
5. Matthew invited his friends to a dinner party where they could meet Jesus (Matthew 9:10-13).
6. Zaccheus invited many of his friends to a dinner party (Luke 19)
7. Jesus was accused of eating with sinners and tax collectors (a relational experience).
8. Peter spoke to Cornelius, but the whole household got baptized. Corneilus had brought them (Acts 10:24)
9. Paul spent nearly two years talking faith with Felix. At the end of Acts 23, the apostle Paul was sent to Felix, the governor. Felix had Paul guarded in Herod’s palace (Acts 23: 35) until he had the chance to hear Paul himself (Acts 24). After the hearing, Felix gave Paul some ”freedom and permit his friends to take care of his needs” (24:23). Felix still got to hear of Jesus and the implications of being a disciple of Christ. These faith sharing conversations went on for the next two years (v.27).
Relationship vs Lifestyle Evangelism – Relationship evangelism... seeing your existing relationships as opportunities to share the gospel
Lifestyle Evangelism – hoping people will see your relationship and ask you about the gospel...
