Genesis 41

Riches do not indicate God’s favor.

Jesus promised abundant life--not an abundant bank account. 

Believers should use their wealth for the Gospel, not selfish pursuits. 

It is more difficult to be faithful in prosperity than it is in adversity. 

Not everyone can carry a full cup.

1.        In spite of being neglected, Joseph did not hold a grudge.

2.       Even though he had an impressive resume, Joseph did not promote himself.

Joseph was immediately powerful and famous.

·   He was given new clothing. 

·   He was given a new name.
