Generosity
Generosity is the habit of giving without expecting anything in return.
The word generous derived from a Latin word meaning “open handed.”
A key component of discipleship is learning to give.
Most of us are generous to something/someone.
Generosity is a hallmark of Christian life.
We should be generous for the gospel.
Tithing and generosity are not the same thing.
LESSONS FROM PHILIPPIANS 4
Œ The gospel is worthy of my generosity. (15-16)
There are legitimate needs to be met. (16)
Ž There are times whenour ability to be generous may be limited. (10)
God is pleased with the generous and gives them treasure in heaven. (17)
God blesses the giver. (19)

1. Be generous for the kingdom.
2. Look for opportunities to help, instead of looking the other way.
3. Help our church be more generous.
4. Realize that treasure in heaven doesn't do you any good if you are not there!
