The church was started by Epaphras. Paul wanted them to have a greater understanding of Jesus’ nature and work. The church was being opposed by those with other religious views. He addresses these errors, but focuses their attention on their new life in Christ. As he concludes the letter, Paul gives them practical advice for living in a toxic world.
