In the Christmas story, Christmas angels bring tidings of comfort and joy.
The Angel Appears to Mary
26 In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin engaged to a man named Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And the angel came to her and said, “Rejoice, favored woman! The Lord is with you.”

Gabriel is one of five angels named in the Bible. He is always described as a messenger angel.
Mary being favored by God describes the blessings she will receive, not the behavior she has displayed.
Mary believes God and submits herself to be used of God.
Why does Christmas bring joy?

The end of waiting always brings joy.
Christmas reminds us that nothing is impossible with God.
